Why are SVG images not hidden when I click “Hide Images”?

The Hide Images feature is designed to hide decorative images only.
SVG files are intentionally not hidden because they often serve functional or navigational purposes—for example menu icons, arrows, accordion indicators, or elements in cookie banners.

Hiding these SVGs could negatively affect usability and accessibility.

If you want purely decorative elements (such as logos or background visuals) to be hidden, we recommend using PNG or JPG formats. These image types will be hidden when the Hide Images option is enabled.
